[Glade-users] Orbit this!

I'm trying to start a libglade project in Anjuta1. (I'm also using
Gnome2.2.1 + RH8) But when it gets to the ./configure part of autogen.sh
I get this message:

        checking for pkg-config... /usr/bin/pkg-config
        checking for libgnomeui-2.0 gtk+-2.0... Package ORBit-2.0 was
        not found in the pkg-config search path.
        Perhaps you should add the directory containing `ORBit-2.0.pc'
        to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
        Package 'ORBit-2.0', required by 'libgnome', not found
        
even though:

        $ locate -i orbit-2.0.pc
        /usr/lib/pkgconfig/ORBit-2.0.pc
        $ echo $PKG_CONFIG_PATH
        /usr/lib/pkgconfig
