[Glade-users] Error While Configuring

I encountered the following error while compiling a project built with
glade. I use glade 2. 

checking how to run the C preprocessor... gcc -E
checking for ANSI C header files... yes
./configure: line 1337: syntax error near unexpected token

How can I solve this error? I have gtk+-2.0 libraries installed in
/usr/lib/gtk-2.0 directory.
