glade uses the standard autotools PKG_CHECK_MODULES to
get the linker and compiler flags, this will pull in pango/cairo/gthread.
Ok. I can see that now.
However,
$ grep -nr "dlfcn.h" *
...does not show up any source or header file.
So is dlopen and similar functions really being used here? Why do we
need AC_LIBTOOL_DLOPEN and -ldl then?
