You can install and run GIRL on free GNU/Linux systems (such as Debian

available from http://www.getfedora.org/ with the provided binary packages)
and listen to one of the 57 supported Internet radio stations around the
world, with the Videos application (https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/Videos)
from the GNOME project installed on the computer, and record from one of
the supported stations with streamripper (http://streamripper.sf.net/)
installed on your computer.

The GIRL 1.9.0 program is available in 13 languages, released as a part

This new GIRL 1.9.0 release comes with updated Czech, Polish and Brazilian
Portuguese translations and support for CHUO and CFRC, the longest-running
campus-based broadcaster in Canada (established in 1922).

The default radio station in this release (GIRL 1.9.0) is WMBR at M.I.T.
in Cambridge, MA. If WMBR is not broadcasting, you can always select another
radio station using the "Search by location" feature available from the
"Search" button or select among the 56 other Internet radio stations from the
"Stations" button in GIRL 1.9.0.
