Welcome to the gir-devel-list

Hi everyone,

Welcome to the gir-devel-list, and thanks for your interest in being a
part of GIR development, as well as your continued work on bindings.

This isn’t going to be a high-traffic list, but should serve as a useful
place to announce and discuss changes to annotations, the GIR format,
and the typelib format, so that all bindings authors can have some
input.

At the moment, the only change under discussion is the addition of a
(never-null) attribute, and changes to the default nullability of
gpointer parameters and return values:

https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=719966#c22

There’s a patch there which implements the changes, if anybody would
like to try it out.

In future, I hope that GIR could grow more information which makes it
useful not only to bindings authors, but also for static analysis of the
original C code.

Philip
