Hi Dan!

I would perhaps try joining us on IRC in #GIMP (on GIMPNet, not freenode).
In particular I would try to talk to Jehan Pages - he is the one currently
driving the development of an "Extensions" manager for GIMP that will
ultimately replace the functionality most people were looking for in the
registry (but integrated into GIMP).

If you wanted to focus on web work, Jehan is going to need a web interface
created at some point, and I'm happy to work with others on this to make it
a reality.
