The easiest way is to install Hugin where you can use the panorama creation utility to detect the common
points and stitch automatically. Note that stitching two scans is somewhat different from rotating a camera
for panoramic shots, so best to read the tutorial. http://hugin.sourceforge.net/tutorials/scans/en.shtml
