Layer visibility is not assigned a keyboard shortcut so your 'some sort of key
combination' is unlikely.

It is toggled on / off by clicking the 'eye' icon and all layers toggled on /off
by shift-click on the eye icon

Same applies to the link layers icons along side the visibility icon.
