Thanks Patrick,

I know this preferences Image import & export. There are only two
import-plugins - no darktable-plugin. And I can't see how to add darktable -
no button to add plugins....

How is that done?

Hi,

I use both darktable and rawtherapee. Since I have gimp-2.10.4 running every
raw is opened via rawtherapee.

Is there a way to make gimp ask for darktable or rawtherapee to open tha
file? Both plugins are installed in /usr/lib64/gimp/2.0/plug-ins.

Reinstall darktable doesn't help. In the import/export-Settings only
rawtherapee is listed. How can I add files-darktable?

thanks a lot for any tip....

gimp -> edit -> preferences -> Image Import & Export -> Raw Image Importer

it worked previous but seems the darktable importer is broken.

you have:
  /usr/lib64/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/file-darktable/file-darktable

it is provided by the gimp package. I am on openSUSE Tumbleweed:
  gimp-2.10.8-1.46.x86_64.rpm

maybe edit /home/<user>/.config/GIMP/2.10/gimprc
 and change import-raw-plug....
 to
 (import-raw-plug-in "${gimp_plug_in_dir}/plug-ins/file-darktable/file-darktable")

you might try moving /home/<user>/.config/GIMP
this will effect a clean gimp config as a new install would

maybe you need to completely remove gimp, including
/home/<user/.config/GIMP
and reinstall it.

past that, I don't have a clue.

jfyi, I am running darktable master from git which may be my problem with
raws not being imported into gimp. dt can export a file to gimp. I
usually work within dt and rarely need gimp.
