I have a life long interest in photography.  The Ilford Manual of
Photography and the books by Ansel Adams and his zone system set my
standards for documentation.  I program in Scheme (and C when I have
too).

GIMP models the photographic process more or less well depending upon
the quality of it's documentation.  That said I am particularly
interested in the mathematical underpinnings of your "Digital
photography improvements".   Perhaps y'all can point me in the right
direction.
