The problem with Partha's builds is that he changes things to suit himself and therefore it's not a reliable 
reference for creating bug-reports against.

A case in point is https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=795855 which apparently Partha's build isn't 
suffering from: https://www.gimp-forum.net/Thread-opening-from-and-saving-to-local-folders?pid=8074#pid8074
