1. SourceForge does show the amount of downloads per week for each
file, e.g. 
http://sourceforge.net/projects/gimp-win/files/GIMP%20%2B%20GTK%2B%20%28stable%20release%29/GIMP%202.8.6/

2. We don't use SourceForge anymore, so those numbers will be
increasingly misleading at people learn to get the files from gimp.org
only.
