In fact, EXIF data is not yet implemented in the TIFF-Exporting
plug-in.
GIMP 2.8 codebase does not even mention
Exif in the plug-in code.

The development version has a
check box to save EXIF data, but no
actually TIff EXIFTAG  mentions in the code.
