[Gimp-user] Saving keywords to an image

As a recent user of Photoshop, I need to attach details such as keywords to an
image.  This will usually be a TIFF or JPEG.. I'm new to Gimp but see in the
Properties category I can enter the sort of info I want but when I try to  save
everything this info just disappears and obviously is not embedded in the file.

Can someone help please?
