[Gimp-user] reconstructing printed pages

I need to reconstruct printed pages, whose last line was cut;
I know what is missing, i'm thinking to use the characters on page to 
reconstruct the missing lines.
How can I create a collection of characters (or group of characters) so 
that I can do a montage?
