| Hi: I am using Windows XP PRO x64 with SP2 (they didn't do a 3). Will there be problems using the New Gimp 2.8.2 ? If so is there certain settings I need to adjust? Or should I go for an older version of Gimp ? I have been using Microsoft Paint for ever and a friend said , hey go get Gimp and get Better results. I loaded the new Gimp 2.8.2, installed it and then when I closed the program, my machine seemed to have locked up. Any ideas ? Pls help. If need be I guess I can try running it in VirtualBox with Windows 7 x32 or Ubuntu. That is if there is a major problem running 2.8.2 in Win XP Pro x64. This is my machines set up; OS Win Pro x64 Sp2 Browsers: Mozilla 9.0.1, I.E.Ver.8.0.6001.18702 , Google Chrome 21.0.1180.60 m Adobe Flash 11 AMD Athlon ll x3 450 3.21GHz, 7.50 GB of ram. and NVIDIA GeForce 6200 Video Card. Could it be I have some settings wrong for this card to work with Gimp 2.8.2 ? Doug New User |
