[Gimp-user] Gimp's startup loading

Hi All,

Anyone knows how the startup works?

Does GIMP load the patterns, gradients, palettes, brushes to the memory on the startup? or it just looks at it when needed?

I'm asking that because GIMP asks me to make refresh/restart every time I add a new pattern, otherwise I can't see it.
