Hi all!

Right now paths are made invisible on creation, which means so see it
when you have the path tool activated, but as soon as you choose another
tool, it looks like it disappeared:

Actually it is there, simply not visible. Solution is to click on the
"eye" icon on the path dock.

I think this makes no sense. Anything new should be visible by default
(for instance you don't make a layer invisible as a default!).

Could we agree on changing this or was there a secret reason for this
weird behavior?

Also, shouldn't we just have the Paths Layers within the Layers dialog, then provide "Layer type" option to choose what type of layer to add through that pop-up dialog.

1. Pixels Layer (as default)
2. Paths Layer
