[Gimp-docs] Download statistics

Hi all,

Currently writing a paper related to open-source software. I need the download statistics for GIMP. Since GIMP is not using Sourceforge, could any of you give me an official number of download counts? it would be better if there is a link that leads to a documentation page of some sort so I can cite the number.
