[Gimp-developer] Vignette filter: Softness and Gamma options

Hi devs,

I found an explanation for Vignette/Gamma = falloff linearity: controls how fast is brightness reduced towards the corners.

But Softness seems to work in the same way.

How to explain the difference between Softness and Gamma?
