A) please use 0.12.x, 0.11 is a development release
B) that is intentional. 0.10 is the version of the API.

I've just downloaded and installed version 0.11 for the first time and 
found that the introspection bindings are installed as 
GExiv2-0.10.typelib, where I would have expected GExiv2-0.11.typelib.

If this is intended I can see it causing confusion in future.
