Re: [gexiv2] Maintainership?

Hi,

For this change I only did one check: Diff the GIR XML before and after the change since it should not introduce any difference (apart from the package)

And you are right, vala support does uses "old-style" introspection to generate the API description which should be changed to use GIR in future.

Yeah those patches look reasonable to me. I'm far from an automake/autoconf expert though.

When you're writing those patches are you testing the introspection from the python side? or just testing that it doesn't break Shotwell? Because Shotwell (as I understand) uses GExiv2 "directly" through vala, while python users rely more heavily on the introspection magic.

Works fine for me I guess.

I'm the author of the python bits in gexiv2 (and some supporting
introspection bits), feel free to ask me questions but I don't have
much time for hacking these days.

If you can have a quick look at my patches in https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=765827 that would be great.

Thanks
