gexiv2_metadata_get_preview_properties() lists all the previews found in
the
file (including the EXIF thumbnail), and
gexiv2_metadata_get_preview_image()
will return the thumbnail itself. Note that the list of returned
properties
is ordered from smallest to largest.

Thanks for the clarification. I am going to try the above methods now.
I am working on an image indexer and using gexiv2 for extracting EXIF
information. This is my second encounter with Vala and depending a lot
on reading shotwell's code and help from #vala.
Thanks for these awesome works. Will make more noise here with questions :)
