with external tools;

gedit#2 groups all appended output in 1 undo group.

but....

gedit 3 has each line a separate undo.


for me gedit#2 behaviour is useful (i have many/log lines appended by
a tool) gedit#3 behaviour is making upgrading to it a problem, so;

any way to get gedit#3 to group an external tools output as one undo
group, per execution, as gedit#2 does?
