[gedit-list] feature/bug-report suggestion

Hello dear gedit developers,

First on, congratulations for the new version. gedit is very dear to me; it is where I am doing most of my text editing. Especially, I like its lightness. It is also an improvement over notepad, which I was using under Windows, before having moved over to Linux.

I just wanted to bring attention to you devs towards the following bug report: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=662877

Although I do not agree with the proposed solution, I do recognize the problem. More appropriate solutions might be found on the brainstorm page, there linked to.


It would be nice if you devs could post in some insight about the current issue. If you do not think this is an issue, please post a comment to that effect, too.
