[gedit-list] Fwd: Fwd: Linux Mint 14 Cinnamon -- gedit 2 and synctex plugins

Well, I've installed gedit on linux mint 14 cinnamon.

$ gedit --version
gedit - Version 3.6.1

and I've installed gedit-plugins: synctex plugin ver. 3.6.0

Every plugin work preperly, except the synctex plugin. I've compiled a TeX document with

xetex -synctex=1 -halt-on-error document.tex

The pdf document is well typesetted, the document.synctex.gz file is correctly produced, evince 3.6.0 with poppler 0.20.4 show it wonderfully, but the menu option tools>forward searc is disabled and it doesnt work.

Were can be the problem?

Hey, gedit-plugins should have a package for cinnamon I guess, if not you should file a bug to Cinnamon.

The synctex plugin is only available from gedit-plugins >= 2.32. Note that this version is now more than 2 years old.
