you will have to port the plugin to use the new api. Also see that you have the bookmarks plugin gedit-plugins package too.

This added the ability to create bookmarks, and navigate the code. Was a kind  function browsers that worked well for php, html, or free form text.
(it would have been nicer in the sidebar).

Wondering if there are ways to use this, since the code doesn't seem to be maintained?

Or if there is a way to use the gedit (in page) bookmarks in the sidebar to navigate code?
