Is there a way to REALLY turn off cursor restore functionality of Gedit at Ubuntu 10.10? Really annoying!!! For example, open a file using gedit, supposing the cursor now is at the first line, then press "page down" to go to second page, then minimise the gedit to taskbar, then click Gedit at the taskbar, the page at the gedit go BACK to page one!!! It doesn't stay at the old position(i.e. the second page)!!! I DID set "gconf-editor apps/gedit-2/preferences/editor/cursor_position/restore_cursor_position = false". But it doesn't help!!! Thanks.
