[gedit-list] What's the status of Python plugins under Windows?

I read recently - although I've forgotten where - that gedit's Python
plugins ceased working because of incompatibility with PyGobject.  Is
this true and if so, when might this be resolved?  Is there some way
around this, perhaps using an older version of gedit?  I'd like to use
the same editor and plugins under both Linux and Windows, if that's
possible.
