[gedit-list] Cursor and text selection

Hi there,

On both my Gedit installations (Ubuntu and Mac OS X) the cursor disapears when text is selected.  Is that intended behavior?  If yes, is there any way to change it either programmatically or thru configuration settings?

BTW, I tried changing the cursor color but it didn't help.
