Hi,

1 Is there a web accessible feature request list on the site gedit.org?

Has the following feature request ever been posted?

2 Search and replace a string containing multiple newlines (LARGE STRING containing few paragraphs or atleast 1k characters) across many open files in one go as is done in many html editors. Then saving (and/or closing) all the changed files with just one click. Also undoing the operation if need be, plus giving a message about how many times the replace operation took place.

what are the priorities for developing such a feature?

3 In kate, there is a feature to set line length (or wordwrap text) using a hard CR/newline character.  In gedit, this can only be done temporarily as if in dynamic wordwrap but not permanently. Any plans to give such a feature--i.e manually set line length specially(in preferences/settings/options) for those with reading disabilities or smaller monitors.

It would be nice to have these features and would make editing MULTIPLE html files on a site a snap.

Thanks for making such a great tool. :)

I use gedit ALL the time specially when i have to replace strings containing newlines.
