[gedit-list] 'Plugin ... is already active.'

Hi there,

I'm developing the LaTeX plugin for gedit and I have some kind of problem...

I've started gedit with the plugin activated and the plugin crashed. 
I've fixed the plugin but now gedit doesn't load it
automatically anymore. When I try to activate it in the plugin manager, 
I get:

** (gedit:14718): WARNING **: Plugin 'LaTeX Plugin' is already active.

...but it isn't. I've already tried to remove it from 
/apps/gedit-2/plugins/active-plugins in GConf - with no effect. I've 
experienced this on other systems, too. Does anyone have a solution to 
this or any info?
