[gedit-list] Dissapearing cursor

I hope this isn't a stupid question, but I can't find the solution
anywhere.

How do I change the cursor colour?

The reason is, I much prefer to work with grey (or white) text on a black
background, but when you set the background to black, the default black
cursor is invisible.

If there's no way to change the cursor colour, would it not make more
sense to have it the same colour as the normal text?

I'm using the Debian 2.4.1 version.
