I think there's two issues here: The From address combobox not being 
active for replies is probably this bug: 
<https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=772427>. Does that sound 
right?

Then there's also the primary email address being blank on the newly 
added account. I still need to look into that, but it's worth filing a 
bug for it, if you have a moment.
