Re: [Geary] Call for testing: Geary 0.11.3

Mike, it's good to hear that a new release is on the way.  I just built from the geary-0.11 branch and am sending this message from the resulting Geary binary.  :)  It seems just fine - I'll let you know if anything seems amiss in the week to come.

Hi all, I am planning on releasing Geary 0.11.3 next weekend, so this is a call for testing and translations for the geary-0.11 branch. As a stable LTS-ish point release, we want to make sure there aren't any regressions. This new release will have a database upgrade which will bring it into line with master, but will mean that once you have run it once, you won't be able to go back to 0.11.2 or earlier unless you first backup ~/.local/share/geary/*/geary.db. This is unfortunate, but it will fix a whole lot of problems with search. Also backported are the recent fixes for drafts not being saved, Inboxes not being sync'ed, and a few other less major issues. To test the upcoming version, use Git to clone the source code repository ("git clone git://"), check out the LTS branch ("cd geary && git checkout geary-0.11") and build per the INSTALL file there. You can run Geary from the source directory if you don't want to clobber your installed version. If you find a bug, check it has not already been reported then file it in Bugzilla: <> Ubuntu users can get a pre-built development snapshots from this PPA: <>. Builds are currently finishing up and will be published shortly. For translations, please also use the "geary-0.11" branch. There have been two minor string additions (sorry, they should be able to be merged to master though), and as usual there's still some languages that could use improved coverage for both the UI and the User Guide. This is the translation module and branch to use: <>, some more info about translating Geary is here: <>. Have any questions? Ask here or on #geary on Thanks! //Mike
