Well, it was a patch that someone applied to the Debian/Ubuntu
packages ages ago. It makes sense to me, but I'm not attached to it a
lot, so if upstream wants to revert his patch, I won't object.
This should perhaps be discussed at
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=588849 and the bug
reopened?
