[gdm-list] Issue with GDM 2.20 and GNOME 2.24

For those distros which intend to use GDM 2.20 with GNOME 2.24, I want
to direct your attention to bugzilla bug #553305.

  http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=553305

Since GConf now depends on D-Bus, various AT programs (such as GOK) will
not start properly unless GDM starts up D-Bus via dbus-launch. So I
recommend that any distros using GDM 2.20 with GNOME 2.24 check if this
is a problem, and consider applying the patch in that bug report to
address it.

This patch simply modifies the /usr/sbin/gdm script so that it starts
up dbus-launch as the "gdm" user. If people have any recommendations of
better ways to address this problem, that would also be helpful.

It might be good to get this patch upstream, but some configure magic
would be needed to identify if the installed GConf version requires
D-Bus and only add this extra code if so. It probably isn't a good
idea to always call dbus-launch since some users are likely still
using GDM 2.20 with older versions of GNOME.

Thanks,

Brian
