Like Remi says, it's a home environment. I encourage my girlfriend to
use her account when she wants to use the computer (instead of
cluttering my desktop/bookmarks/etc.), but I don't want to enter a
password every time we switch accounts.
It's definitely defaults to locking, and I would think that most
environments would make it mandatory. But at home, I want the
experience to be "fast" user switching.
