[gdm-list] GDM reboot/shutdown script

Hi everyone.

I like the way GDM shuts down the PC - switching to the text
console and showing shutdown progres there - unlike just calling
shutdown from X, where X is killed, I see vc1 login and shutdown
progress is shown in vc7. How can I achieve that effect ? Does GDM have
separate script for that purpose I can use ? Calling
$ sudo gdmflexiserver --command=QUERY_LOGOUT_ACTION
returns
ERROR 100 Not authenticated.
