Note if you are using gdmgreeter, you can define a clock as follows
in the theme:
<item type="label" id="clock">
<normal color="#000000" font="Sans 12"/>
<pos x="-20" y="-37" anchor="e"/>
<text>%c</text>
</item>
The default GDM themes have such a clock. Also gdmlogin shows a clock
in the menubar (on the right side).
My bad, I only use the ubuntu one :-) Is this documented? Because my
fast search for "clock" didnt show it (could be because I was in a hurry).
Do you want a different or more elaborate clock in GDM?
Ah, yes, an analog clock would be nice.
