Re: Removing options from screen

George - We are using gdm in an Internet cafe, and trying to minimize
'fiddling'.
Have now cut down 'Sessions' and 'Language' - thanks
'Disconnect' is probably not a major issue anyway (I'll need to study
editing the graphical greeter to remove buttons)

With the 'uppercase username', I am trying to force the entries to an
initial known state when the login dialog shows. All our cafe usernames
are in uppercase, but the keybd could be upper or lower when a user logs
out - need to force back to upper for next user

Thanks

Is it possible to remove / hide the Session/Language/Disconnect options?

Can't hide the session, but if you only have one session installed then it
doesn't hurt to have it even in a kiosk. In the graphical greeter however you
can edit the theme and remove the button entierly. For language you can
remove te locale.alias file and that should not show the language button. The
disconnect is only show in environments where it does make sense. Again in the
graphical greeter you could just remove it.

Can I default the Username to uppercase when gdm initially displays ?

Not sure what you mean by this
