Well, no. I use a Viewsonic PF790 correctly configured in 75Hz and it's
limit is around 77Hz (talkin about 1600x1200).

What I forgat from my previous answer: I use the default woody xserver for
my Matrox G400, version number is:  xserver-svga   3.3.6-6
