Well, as far as I can tell, YES, there are plans to have another
(pre-)release (beta2 or rc1 or whatever) of 0.36.
But, NO, I have no idea if this will be "soon" ;).

We wanted to have another meeting on IRC to discuss this issue... but
this hasn't happened (yet).

What about this Sunday 21.00 CET? So we can have the next (pre-)release
out next week ?!
