I've not tried the SlideShow desklet on Gutsy (worked fine on Feisty),
and I'm afraid I can't try it out right now. I've had the odd moment
of instability on Gutsy, but never had any issues with actual
functioning of desklets, as long as they load. Everything's been
sorted out by a reinstall or a reboot until today: after doing an
upgrade of whatever packages Ubuntu told me to, gDesklets has stopped
working and refuses to load. It gives the 'Starting
gdesklets-daemon...' message and hangs.
