I hope you do realize that GConf is unmaintained, and deprecated.
there is literally no reason for *anybody* in 2015 to build GConf
without DBus, and using ORBit instead.
if you want to build GConf without DBus, then you should probably use
an earlier version — 2.26 is probably the last one without DBus
support.
the questions are, though:
• why would you want to use GConf with ORBit/CORBA as the IPC mechanism
• why would you want to use GConf at all
please, join us in the XXI century, and use the GSettings API provided
by GLib. it's safe, and nice here in the future.
