RE: gconftool-2 question



last shot.

* log out of gnome, and graphical interface.

* login to virtual console as the affected user ( Ctrl+Alt+F1), and
shutdown all graphical interface
	$ su -c "/sbin/telinit 3"

* kill any active gconf session
	$ gconftool-2 --shutdown

* delete all profile information ( this will delete sticky notes also )
	$ rm -rf .gconf* .gnome* .local .config .kde

* start graphical interface
	$ su -c "/sbin/telinit 5"

* login to gnome and check
