I've had a play with listening for broken connections. I can release
some clients immediately from the callback, but not all of them seem to
be triggered. I've also observed gconfd-2 starting without adding any
clients, so it still waits for the timeout to shut down.
What is the "underlying problem", if it's not these clients loitering
with broken connections?
Sean.
