logging in from two machines

Hi,

	I'm trying to log into my account from two separate machines. I
log into one but from the other one it says something like:

	'... another process has the lock in
.gconf/%gconf-xml-backend.lock/'

	It says in www.gnome.org/projects/gconf that this should JUST WORK
except for two cases that don't affect me. Does anybody else have this
problem?
