configure, OAF test fails

Hey, wondering if I can get some help with this.  I'm trying to compile
GConf-1.0.9.  The configure script tells me the OAF test failed. 
Looking at the config.log reveals a bunch of errors in glib headers:

I just recently built and installed glib-2.0.  As far as I can tell it
went off without a hitch.  Should I take this to the glib mailing list?
