Do *NOT* build as root! Please read the README, carefully.
You will not be able to use the build installed inside /root anyway,
without severely compromising your systems security.

Hrm, strange...
Luis, can you reproduce this very issue when building as a regular user,
too?

Also, you most likely do not want *everything* GARNOME provides. From
the above it seems you started the build in the top level build dir.
Rather than that, the usual way is to build desktop/ only first, and
building handpicked additional apps after that.
Can you reproduce this issue when starting a build in desktop/, too?
